Job Details

The Assistant Corporate Controller will play a key leadership role in delivering accurate, timely financial statements and strategic analyses. This position supports senior leadership in assessing operating performance, allocating capital effectively, and enabling sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior accounting leader overseeing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams within corporate accounting and revenue functions
  • Manage the monthly close process and coordinate activities with the global controllership team and business segments
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting, including SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Section 16, and 11-K
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and cross-functional initiatives
  • Maintain and update financial and accounting policies in line with evolving standards
  • Lead accounting processes for complex areas, including stock compensation, pensions, derivatives, goodwill, leasing, and revenue recognition
  • Act as liaison with internal auditors and external audit partners
  • Leverage enterprise tools such as SAP, OneStream Consolidation, Workiva, and LeaseQuery to enhance accounting efficiency
  • Prepare materials and financial updates for Audit Committee presentations
  • Develop and monitor procedures to ensure timely, accurate financial data processing
  • Support budgeting and monthly forecasting activities
  • Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives across accounting and reporting functions
  • Oversee the internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) program to maintain SOX compliance and optimize compliance-related costs
  • Coordinate SOX testing and address remediation activities with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure consistent documentation and updates of internal controls across business processes
  • Deliver SOX training and guidance to accounting teams and internal departments
  • Provide financial oversight for major contracts, ensuring alignment with ASC 606 and company policies
  • Collaborate with legal, sales, and procurement on contractual terms and accounting impacts
  • Participate in enterprise risk management (ERM) efforts, helping identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
  • CPA or relevant professional certification strongly preferred
  • Graduate degree or advanced coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a plus
