Job Description
A Digital Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials on tight deadlines. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple print jobs efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
• Set up and operate digital printers for various print jobs, selecting appropriate materials and machine settings.
• Prepare and inspect digital files for print readiness, ensuring proper formatting and color accuracy.
• Monitor print jobs during production to maintain quality and make necessary adjustments for alignment, color, or material issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, replacing parts, and minor repairs.
• Manage inventory of printing supplies and reorder materials as needed.
• Collaborate with prepress and finishing teams to ensure workflow continuity and product quality.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards while maintaining organized work records and documentation of completed jobs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Working knowledge of digital printing equipment and graphic arts software (e.g., Adobe products, Mac Computers).
• Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move printing materials and work flexible hours if required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience in digital printing is preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
