Job Title: Tack Truck Driver (Distributor Operator)

Overview:
A Distributor Operator is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of an asphalt distributor truck.

Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
• Deliver and spray oils and emulsions on road surfaces
• Operator equipment in a safe manner while gauging the output of the product
• Maintenance tasks and mechanical duties (pumps, gauges, valves, etc.) along with activities in elevated-heights.
• Truck loading and unloading
• Use of a handheld spray hose at times
• Changing of spray nozzels

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Valid Commercial Drivers License
• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of distributor trucks and related equipment to be operated
• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Strong work ethic
• Strong math skills
• Physical Organization and time management
• Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
• Consent to a DMV license evaluation
• Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
Other Preferred Qualities:
• Ability to read and understand SDS
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.
Salary Range: $30.50 - $44.29/hour (Prevailing Wage)
