ENTRY-LEVEL DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Job Type: Full-time ? On-Site

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Entry-Level Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team, supporting technology operations across our K-12 school district. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to bolster their IT career while making a positive impact on education and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other classroom technology.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for teachers, staff, and students.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and ChromeOS devices.
• Respond to and manage support tickets using our helpdesk system.
• Assist with classroom technology setups, including projectors, smart boards, printers and AV equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on school computer systems.
• Support student and staff accounts, including password resets and access issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and support activities.
• Collaborate with district IT staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

• IT certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows and ChromeOS environments
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
• Must pass a background check to work in an educational environment
• Knowledge of computer hardware, and software applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Comp TIA A+ or similar IT certification
• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
• Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and windows 10/11
