We are seeking an experienced Spanish Translator to deliver accurate and culturally appropriate translations for Alboum’s clients, including US-based nonprofits, local government agencies, schools, and healthcare organizations. This is a full-time, salaried position on our in-house team. The ideal candidate will be a professional translator (native Spanish speaker with full English fluency) with the ability to work across different subject matter areas, including education, medical, and legal documents. Projects vary in length, and hours are flexible to support the best quality translation output. Key Responsibilities: Translate written documents of varying length and subject matter from English to Spanish. Maintain a consistent tone and style that is appropriate to the intended audience. Edit and post-edit translations and machine translation output for completion, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and cultural appropriateness. Ensure that all translations meet the highest linguistic and cultural standards. Analyze, prioritize, and complete multiple translation projects, meeting deadlines as assigned. Collaborate with project managers and other team members and leverage client glossaries, style guides, and reference materials to ensure project success. Requirements for Position: +5 years as a professional translator preferred Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong experience working in Trados Familiarity with machine translation (MT) and post-editing processes Experience with localization and transcreation preferred Experience with Plunet preferred A degree or certification in translation, linguistics, or a related field preferred The Spanish Translator is a fully remote position, and a successful candidate can be located anywhere in the world.
