We are seeking Hindi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Hindi is a critical language for immigration and asylum proceedings, and interpreters must deliver services with precision, neutrality, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Hindi English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Maintain neutrality and adhere to USCIS/DHS confidentiality and compliance standards.
• Handle both scheduled and urgent OPI requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Hindi and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, government, or healthcare preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards (NCIHC, ATA, RID).
• Strong verbal communication skills; ability to stay accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
