Job Title

About your role:

As a Senior Cloud Networking Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex network architectures across cloud and hybrid environments. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert, driving scalable, secure, and highly available networking solutions that support critical business applications and digital transformation initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment and brings deep expertise in cloud networking, automation, and architectural design.

What you’ll do:

• Architect and lead implementation of enterprise-grade cloud networking infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP while defining cloud network architecture standards, governance, and best practices
• Design and manage scalable connectivity solutions including VPCs, Virtual WANs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and VPNs
• Oversee network integration between cloud and on-premises data centers, SD-WAN solutions, and third-party SaaS platforms
• Implement and manage cloud firewalls, security groups, NACLs, and routing policies
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and configuration of network services using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Lead troubleshooting of complex network issues and optimize network performance, cost, reliability, and security posture across environments
• Collaborate with application teams to align network designs with performance and security requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on cloud networking
• 5+ years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, with deep knowledge of cloud-native network services (e.g. AWS Transit Gateway, Azure VNet Peering, GCP Cloud Interconnect)
• 5+ years of experience with L2/L3 protocols, routing, DNS, load balancing, NAT, BGP, and IPSEC
• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience securing cloud networks using firewalls, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, CCNP/CCIE)
• Experience designing or managing SD-WAN, MPLS, and virtual networking overlays
• Experience with container networking (Kubernetes, CNI plugins)
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust)
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government)
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

How you’ll work:

• Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech, this role is on-site Monday through Friday
• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment

Travel:

• Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected
