One of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The company specializes in owning and controlling oil and gas pipelines and terminals.

This is a 3 to 6 month contract assignment with no benefits. Also, no PTO (paid time off). Contractor can request time off and take time off but it is not paid time off. If this is not a good fit, please do not apply.

Monday - Wednesday onsite and Thursday - Friday work from home. In the begining during training the Contractor may have to work M - F onsite.

Primary Purpose – Senior Accountant:

Accurately record, report and analyze revenue and operating expenditures of terminals while adhering to strict deadlines.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Perform all end of month tasks according to close calendar
• Prepare month end journal entries for P&L and quarter end financial reports
• Monthly variance compilation for the MidAtlantic Area
• Review and verify annual budgets
• Maintain financial reports and records
• Interpret trends reflected in forecasts and P&L's
• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations of specific amounts
• CALM reconciliations
• Shortfall schedules – maintenance
• Maintain monthly schedules related to leases, rents, volumes, etc.
• Routinely review Accounts Receivable aging balances and perform customer collection calls, as necessary
• Review customer contracts and assure accuracy for rates and volume requirements
• Quarterly Variance analysis and Flux reporting for dollars and volumes

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or 5 – 7 years equivalent experience

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

· Must be able to maintain good attention to detail, accuracy, completeness, and meet deadlines and commitments

· Must have good computer skills. Working knowledge of Excel is mandatory

· Must be detail oriented, organized and self-motivated

· Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English

· Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team

· Must be able to complete work in a prioritized and organized manner

· Must be able to maintain confidentiality

· Must be able to take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules and follow work rules

· Must have strong analytical skills and logical thought processes with the ability to identify and resolve simple to complex accounting issues.

· Must be able to work and complete work with minimal direct supervision

Must be able to interact with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
