Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and analyze standard costs for manufactured and purchased products. Monitor and report on variances between actual and standard costs; investigate and explain key drivers. Perform inventory valuation and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to provide cost analysis and financial insights. Assist in the development and implementation of cost allocation methodologies. Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross margin. Support month-end close processes related to cost accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Lead cost roll-up and annual standard cost setting processes. Prepare audit support related to inventory and cost accounting; ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance data integrity and reporting accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree a plus. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including: Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred) Public company experience, particularly in a SOX-compliant environment Consumer products or manufacturing industry experience Experience with manufacturing operations or plant-level financial support. Deep understanding of standard cost systems, inventory accounting, and cost of sales analysis. Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting and data analysis tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. #J-18808-Ljbffr Systems Accountants
