Position Summary

As our Senior Pricing Actuary, you will be be responsible for blending traditional actuarial methods with modern data science to maintain and enhance a suite of insurance products. This is a role for the progressive actuary who is excited to implement the latest techniques in statistics, analysis, and pricing theory in an evolving market.

What will your job entail?

Job Responsibilities:
• Improve the efficiency and flexibility of existing pricing models, including the proposition and defense of new models as needed.
• Take ownership over and develop expertise in a suite of insurance products including indication, analysis, and upstream reporting.

• Communicate results frequently with multiple stakeholders across multiple departments in multiple states spanning a wide range of expertise.
• Assist in the development and integration of multiple data management and reporting systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of inter/intradepartmental tools utilizing SQL, Python, VBA, and other analytical languages.
• Organize and document all work to be analyst-agnostic.

Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, or another applicable field

5+ years pricing experience or 3+ years of experience pricing non-admitted Property lines

• Fluency in SQL, VBA, and Python/R (Python preferred)
• Demonstrable experience with generalized linear models and other predictive methods

• ACAS or near-ACAS accreditation

• This position is open to remote candidates, with a strong preference given to applicants who are able to commute to an office location in Nashville or Chicago

The target salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
