Responsibilities As an Intern joining the social media Creative Strategist team, you will be part of a team that is responsible for leading the development and execution of social content for Jake from State Farm, Media Campaigns and Activations, and our State Farm Independent Contractor Agents. You will also have the opportunity to gain skills in using established social media tools. In your day-to-day work, you'll be able to shadow and participate in the following types of activities: Work with Social team and leadership to develop social media content for Marketing campaigns Provide creative feedback and guidance to internal and external creative partners on social media creative content Review and approve social media content through weekly editorial process Monitor social platform updates/changes to identify areas of opportunity Monitor social platforms for best practices that are endemic to each platform Monitor competitor brand social handles for best practices and opportunities Participate in social "war rooms" for significant real-time activations Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and brand mentions, providing insights to inform creative approach Qualifications Who We Are Looking For Seeking a current junior or senior in an undergraduate program majoring in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism, with a graduation date of December 2026 or later. Will consider sophomores who meet the criteria. Must have at least one semester remaining after the conclusion of the internship. An ideal candidate will have experience with: Proven Social Media proficiency with platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Time management skills with the ability to prioritize & multi-task under shifting deadlines and needs within a fast-paced environment Creating "social first" content that is endemic to each platform Strong communication skills with the ability to write clearly and professionally Analytical skills with a deep understanding of Social Media metrics Influencer and Paid Social Marketing Proficiency in using social media tools such i.e. Sprout, Opal, etc. Competencies:Communication Decision Making and Judgement Industry Knowledge Initiative Adaptability Internship Program Eligibility: To be eligible for the summer internship program, candidates must be full-time students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program with at least one semester remaining until graduation, and must maintain their student status throughout the duration of the internship. ***Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity*** What You Can Expect: Summer Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week Due to the short duration of the summer program, we seek interns who will be available to engage and participate throughout the internship with little to no disruption in work schedule. Pay: $22/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend (minus applicable taxes)! Competitive candidates may be invited to participate in a pre-screening video interview in the Fall of 2025 Where You’ll Work: HYBRID: This is a hybrid position which allows you to spend some of your time working from home as well as some time working collaboratively in-office.
