Registered Nurse – Cath Lab

Facility: Methodist South Hospital (Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare MSP)
Location: 1300 Wesley Dr, Memphis, TN 38116
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team at Methodist South Hospital. This is a day shift role with a 4x10-hour schedule (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with on-call responsibilities. The role requires at least 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience and a minimum of one completed travel assignment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with the preparation and operation of Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond to on-call duties as scheduled, including weekends on an as-needed basis.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or a compact license compliant with NLC guidelines.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• At least one completed travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required and must be current.
• Ability to work day shifts with on-call availability.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to comply with hospital attendance policies and travel assignment requirements.

• Shift: Day, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• On-call: Yes, as assigned
• Weekend coverage: As needed
• Block scheduling: Not permitted
