TROPICALIST BRAND AMBASSADOR:
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Marketing and Sales departments by representing Cerveceria La Tropical and its product at local events. This is a part-time, seasonal role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Pickup and drop-off La Tropical product from our Brewery or other provided location.
Pick up La Tropical POS items including but not limited to tropical foliage, bounce back cards, branded tablecloth, cooler, table, and other collateral as needed.
Arrive at the event within the scheduled timeframe for proper setup of all materials and displays, ensuring preparation is complete and product is organized for customers at the beginning of the event.
Organize booth and marketing materials to represent La Tropical and create visually stimulating displays to attract customers using tropical foliage.
Fully comprehend and communicate the variety of products to customers.
Check identification of all customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
Answer customer inquiries, describe and recommend La Tropical beers, including where the beer can be purchased.
Break down and clean up the booth and displays; organize, clean, and properly store items to prepare for the next event.
Complete a post-event recap; communicate insights and issues that arise with each event.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Familiarization with the La Tropical story and beers is a requirement.
DESIRED CAPABILITIES & CHARACTERISTICS
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Passion for La Tropical and the craft beer business.
Understanding of draft systems and proper beer pouring preferred.
Prior experience in organizing, setting up, and executing marketing events is preferred but not required.
Demonstrate integrity and mature judgment in handling all matters.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and excellent professional verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated, dependable, with a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends; attendance at all scheduled events is required.
Basic knowledge of phone photography and video, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods.
Work may involve long or unpredictable hours, including nights and weekends.
Work environment is primarily outdoors with potential noise and temperature changes.
Must be able to lift 35 lb. cases, 165 lb. kegs, and various POS boxes, sometimes with a handcart.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history are required; may involve driving long distances (up to 3-5 hours).
