General Mechanic - Specializing in Trucks and Trailers
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Trucks General Mechanic who specializes in trucks and trailers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, identifying and repairing mechanical and electrical faults, and maintaining the upkeep of trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conducting regular maintenance and servicing of trucks and trailers, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other general repairs.
· Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in trucks and trailers, identifying the root cause of the issue, and providing effective solutions to repair or replace faulty components.
· Repairing and maintaining truck and trailer systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems.
· Conducting safety inspections and ensuring that all vehicles are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on trucks and trailers.
Requirements:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
· Certification from a vocational or technical school in diesel mechanics, automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
· At least 3 years of experience as a Trucks General Mechanic specializing in trucks and trailers.
· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or crouch for long periods of time.

Pay rate for this position is 25-33/hr DOE
