The Food Quality Assurance Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs plays a critical role in ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality food products that meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations. This position is responsible for supervising daily quality control operations, monitoring compliance with food safety standards (including HACCP, FDA, USDA, and customer-specific requirements), and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment. By fostering a culture of food safety, accountability, and collaboration, the Food Quality Assurance Supervisor helps protect the integrity of the company’s products and supports the broader mission of delivering excellence to airline partners and passengers worldwide.
Compensation & Benefits
Supervise and support daily quality assurance operations across production areas.
Monitor compliance with HACCP, FDA, USDA, and customer-specific food safety standards.
Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Lead or assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
Train and mentor staff on food safety protocols, GMPs, and quality procedures.
Investigate product quality complaints and non-conformances; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Maintain accurate QA documentation, including inspection logs, temperature records, and traceability reports.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Sanitation, Operations) to uphold quality objectives.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and product quality.
Stay informed about evolving food safety regulations and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred.
(Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.)
2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or quality assurance role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, USDA, GMPs, and allergen controls.
Prior experience in high-volume or airline catering environments a plus.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA-related systems or tools.
