Job Description

The Screen Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed apparel and other products. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting quality and deadline standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up screens, inks, and printing equipment for each job according to production requirements.
  • Operate automatic screen-printing press to produce printed items.
  • Inspect products during and after production for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Mix inks to achieve desired colors and maintain proper ink viscosity.
  • Maintain and clean screens, squeegees, presses, and work areas to ensure equipment longevity and consistent print quality.
  • Follow work orders, job specifications, and shop safety guidelines.
  • Track production output and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade or technical training a plus.
  • Previous experience in screen printing or related production work
  • Knowledge of screen-printing processes, materials, and equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment adjustments and maintenance.
  • Knowledge in using Adobe Illustrator and must be able to create and modify designs

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced print shop environment with exposure to inks, solvents, and machinery noise.
  • Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time; hours may vary based on production needs.
  • Pay range based on experience and skill level.
